PRESSING ON TOWARDS THE MARK - EPISODE 1
It can only be God who made the 2019 Annual International Youth Conference of the Pleasant Gathering a huge success which was held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2019 at the Multipurpose Hall, Golden Royale Hotel, Enugu.
The Conference week was very busy with workers on ground making the environment worthwhile. The City Rally held on Thursday was a great moment and an avenue for reaching out to various segments of the Enugu Metropolis getting them ready for the weekend encounter.
Friday of the same week, as usual, was used for the Rahab Project where members of the mandate in Enugu with those who came from Abuja, Aba, Umuahia, Kogi, Nsukka, Port Harcourt, etc launched out between 11pm and 2am with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to various club joints in the city. It was a rewarding experience as many of the commercial sex workers, both men and ladies, were convicted and converted to God.
On the first day of the event being Saturday, with so much prayers, praises, worship, resourceful seminars cutting across difference facets of life by seasoned experts, Barr. Mrs. Joy Ogbonnaya, the International President, gave an hour-long opening charge on the theme of the conference. Her message came with such divine force that left many soaked in the Holy Ghost waiting for the next dimension. It was indeed ready tinder for the glory and power to be experienced in the conference.
And the first Guest Speaker, Rev. Tony Audu, a Senior Pastor with the Remnant Christian Network Int’l, who represented Apostle Arome Osayi took the participants to the next level. With examples, instances and dramatic analogies, he opened the eyes of the attendees to the demands of the call to press on towards the mark. And the rest was Holy Ghost invasion…
