THE MASCULINE PARADIGM
We return all the glory to God for the success of the 2019 Calebites (Brothers Only) Meeting of the Pleasant Gathering held last Sunday 11th August 2019 at the Conference Hall, Sunshine Guest House Ebeano Enugu.
It was a momentous occasion with deep worship, praises, testimonies and drama presentation.
In the preliminary session, Pst. Uche Agbaeze presented a talk on what he titled, ‘THE MASCULINE PARADIGM: Becoming the Man of Character and Impact’ where he outlined such issues as what a man is not and what he should not be, what a man is and should really express, the idiosyncrasies of ignorant masculinity, the necessity of exemplary masculinity and the cost of arrogant masculinity. It was a captivating session.
The climax was when the Guest Speaker, Pst. Kc Richards, Snr. Pastor of the Swift Church and the Director of Moneywise Institute Enugu, took the stage with the topic: BRIDGING THE GAP. He stated and expounded that life is divided into 3 phases. Some of his words include “If adequate knowledge is not in place, adequate failure will be in place. God does not mind age, He minds availability. Age doesn’t make you a man, knowledge does. You don’t become mature by numbers; you become mature by knowing what to do. It’s only what you have gone through that you can take others through. As a man, you must be at your duty post: Morning, Afternoon, Night (MAN), that’s why you’re a MAN…”. At the end, souls were won to the Lord as some young men surrendered their lives to Christ.
The final session was the relationship affair titled: SEX & RELATIONSHIP ISSUES. It was an eye-opening session with questions from younger men and answers from older, more matured and married men. Thank you Mr. Darlington Raymond and others who graced the occasion and provided encouragement to the young men. One of the solid statements in this session was “Sex is an explosive force that I cannot handle until I am ready, and I am not yet ready until I am married”
The International President, Barr. Mrs. Joy Ogbonnaya, also encouraged the men to be more decisive in their pursuit to fulfilling destiny and making positive impact in their time.
We appreciate all the Calebites members who came all the way from Pleasant Gathering Nsukka Chapter and presented a soul-stirring drama. God bless you guys.
