ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF ENUGU SYNOD WELCOMES BARR. JOY
Last Saturday 29th June 2019, Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Ogbonnaya, the International President of the Pleasant Gathering, was a Guest Speaker at the 17th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Enugu held at Ebenezer Anglican Church, Phase 6, Independence Layout, Enugu with the theme, “Beware of Little Foxes: A Warning to Present Day Christians”.
Gathered at the event were the clergy from different quarters of the diocese and province, the laity and other special delegates.
Barr. Joy who spoke on the topic, ‘THE GENERATION AT THE CROSSROADS: A CALL FOR CONCERN’ gave the audience a most enlightening exposition on the need to reach out to the youths who are being negatively influenced by the environment of their dispensation.
With many instances of her experiences in reaching out to the youths over the years, she let them know that we can do so much in salvaging the lives of these ones. A lot of these youths are confused, and they need direction. Many are caged in one form of addiction or the other, and they need help. A greater number are being ravaged by social vices, and they need solution. However, when you reach a youth, you have reached a generation.
For the attendees, it was a moment of deep thought over the affairs youths in their various churches and many made up their hearts to join in the campaign to deliver the generation at the crossroads.
