UNIQUE LADY
PDF MAY 2019!
Last Sunday 26th May 2019 saw ladies from various nooks and crannies of the Enugu metropolis gather at the conference hall of the Sunshine Guest House, Ebeano Estate for a time of great impartation.
It was the Pleasant Gathering ladies arm special meeting known as the PLEASANT DAUGHTERS FORUM (PDF) which holds thrice annually. With the theme, “UNIQUE LADY”, it was indeed timely for the ladies to remind themselves about their special and distinct nature which is indispensable for a godly and socially progressive society.
The International President of the Pleasant Gathering and the Convener of the PDF, Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Ogbonnaya, had led the audience in a soul-stirring and heart-lifting worship to God setting the tone for the bliss in expectation.
With the Pleasant Voices’ and the Pleasant Theatre ministrations, the atmosphere was further surcharged with grace. Uncommon testimonies were also shared which inspired greater faith in God for doing the impossibilities.
The Guest Speaker, Dr. (Mrs.) Ijeoma Onyeledo, First Lady of the House of Generals Int’l Church, Enugu, with her topic, “Unique Lady as a Total Woman”, ministered with such grace and power that was irresistible, bringing the ladies to deeper insights of their uniqueness, prowess and possibilities both in the home, workplace and society in general. Here are some salient points:
For one to be a total woman; she must be a saint, a steward and a ‘suitress’
Saint: a total woman is a true child of god. Steward: you are God's steward here on earth. Suitress: she is marriageable. She ought to be sound spiritually, socially, mentally and physically. Find things that will give you inspiration and change your mind positively. Be creative. Be innovative. A total woman has self-control in her speech, in fashion etc. A total woman must be clean. A total woman must be mentally stable. Deborah is an exemplary total woman (Judges 4).
With fervent prayers, everything was driven home with grace.
Some also made peace with God as they surrender their lives to Christ.
