A RECAP OF EPOCHAL EVENT.
What a memorable moment in God’s presence at the just concluded 2-day Annual Prayer Conference of the Pleasant Gathering last Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March, 2018 with the theme: LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, O YE GATES! What started penultimate Friday night from 10pm into Saturday’s earliest morning at 2am, saw members of the Pleasant Gathering scattered all over the hang-outs and club joints in the city of Enugu, South East Nigeria, reaching out to the young men and especially ladies who were out for commercial sex hawking.
By divine assistance, we recorded tremendous success as many surrendered their lives to God on the spots while 2 young ladies not only surrendered to Christ but also followed us home forfeiting their immoral life Oh, what a big catch for the Kingdom of God! Dear, it can only be God in action.
As the day rolled in, all roads led to the New Conference Hall, National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu, the venue of the conference where hundreds of participants from different parts of the country arrived and duly registered and set for a destiny encounter.
The praise and worship sessions by the Pleasant Voices coupled with their special rendition ushered a fresh dose of the divine presence. The Pleasant Theatre also dramatically ministered to the expectant audience.
Furthermore, special seminar sessions took centre stage with seasoned resource persons such as Engr. Mike Obika (The Place of the Holy Spirit in Soul Winning), Mr. Bright Ichu (Writing Skills 101), Pst. David Kanu (Discovering Your Purpose), Pst. Nick Nomeh (Growing in the Apostolic Ministry), Barr. Joy Ogbonnaya (Overcoming Peer Pressure, Bad Influence/Bad Habits) and Soc. Uche Agbaeze (Leadership & National Transformation).
Following the above, the International President of the Pleasant Gathering, Barr. Joy Ogbonnaya, gracefully gave her opening charge, in which she challenged the audience to seize the opportunity to enrich their lives in all ramification thereby benefitting their families, communities and the nation at large. The hearts of many were exultantly stirred up preparing them for the next level.
Saturday climaxed with the arrival of the day’s speaker, Bro Vin Chukwukelu who stormed the auditorium in the blessedness of divine glory. My! It was, indeed, a date with destiny as he, by the Spirit of God, took the participants through an elaborate, yet highly insightful expose on the theme. The result was a literal invasion of heaven on the earth. And, men and women touched the throne-room of Elohim with heartfelt prayers and yearning for a lasting encounter for victory over the powers of hell unleashed against our lives and families. There was a release of strength, fresh glory and fresh fire. Pleasant Gathering says a big GLORY TO GOD!E for His faithfulness.
