CHRONICLES OF AMAZING GRACE
And the light continued to shine on Saturday 8th September 2018 still at the New Conference Hall of the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu at the International Youth Conference / 12th Anniversary of the Pleasant Gathering.
This first day of the main event saw crowds of youths and adults gathered from all walks of life to experience amazing grace of a lifetime. The high praise and woship sections led by the Pleasant Voices left the auditorium highly infused with divine presence.
Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Ogbonnaya in her charge on theme ‘AMAZING GRACE’ made a deep yet understandable expose’ on the import and importance of amazing grace; the many-sided faces of the dealing of grace in extraordinary dimensions.
The Pleasant Voices of both the Enugu Headquarters and the Aba Chapters of the Pleasant Gathering gave their soul-lifting special music renditions that left the attendees basking in divine glory.
Furthermore, the Special Seminar Sections handled by great national and international resources persons dealt with various topics ranging from academic, economy, marriage, ministry, prayer to national development. Indeed, it was eye-opening, insightful and a capacity-building experience. Oh, you wouldn’t want to miss this section in the next conference!
The first guest speaker, Evang. James Okeaba mounted the stage with the topic: UNDERSTANDING YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST. It was in-depth and powerfilled. My goodness! That message was another big hit in the lives of the participants.
Finally, Pst. Amb. Don Odunze with an unusual power-presence dealt with the topic: HANDLING BESETTING SINS, and also made an introduction into the grace message. And, it was a bomb of a message. The message cut through the reins and veins of many and left all yearning for mercy, restoration, holiness, grace and power with tears of remorse and that of joy.
