EMPOWERING WOMEN, EMPOWERING NATIONS!!!
"Any nation void of empowering the women is on a voyage to national catastrophe" was one of the resounding words that fell from the lips of the International President of the Pleasant Gathering, Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Ogbonnaya, who was the Keynote Speaker last Sunday 26th August, 2018 at the Special August Meeting organized by The New Enugu Project (TNEP) with the theme: THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN NATION BUILDING held at De Dome Event Centre Enugu.
It was a real time of Enlightenment, inspiration, impact and motivation to the women (both young ladies and older ones) who gathered in their numbers to be positively challenged.
Barr. Joy spoke extensively on the impact that women had made in time past; the role they should play in their societies; the need to equip and empower those who should and the need to allow them to express their potentials in the social, economic, religious and political activities of their nation adding that to empower a woman is to empower generations and the role of women in nation building should note be denied them nor be relegated to the background.
Dignitaries from the business, religious, academic and political spheres were also present at the august event.
