2018 JANUARY MONTHLY MEETING
AMAZING BEGINNING!!!
We return all the glory to the Almighty God for the successful commencement of the Pleasant Gathering Programme year. Last Sunday 21st January, 2018, it was powerfully great in the presence of God as the youths and adults gathered at the Conference Hall of Sunshine Guest House, Ebeano, Enugu.
With the spirit of expectation, faith and grace, the atmosphere was charged by the presence of the Holy Ghost as members were lifted in the realms of glory as the praise and worship set the tone for the miraculous.
Prayers, I mean, heart-felt prayers went heavenward in power. Many lined up testifying the uncommon miraculous dealings of God even from our last meeting in December till this January. It was just big!
Barr. (Mrs.) Joy Ogbonnaya, the International President of the Pleasant Gathering mounted the podium with such an aura of divine presence that was literally felt. She took time to expose the theme for 2018 which is: BE AN EXAMPLE (1 Timothy 4:2). With such a heavy anointing, she dealt with so many issues and environment which require members to, indeed, become exemplary. The real child of God should be an example in conversation, love, purity, faith, etc. In her own words, “Christianity without character is no Christianity”. “Character is everything”. Furthermore, she cited several scriptural references backing up her points such as Matthew 5:13-16 where we are demanded to exude our nature as the SALT OF THE EARTH and LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
The thanksgiving section was glorious as members danced with cheerfulness and grace led by the Int’l President.
Another section which took us to ‘the grace’ was the Holy Ghost empowered HOLY COMMUNION. Pastor Dennis Okezie, all the way from Aba, who administered the Lord’s Supper and anointing, alongside hot prayers even over 7-Point Prayer Requests, also enlightened the audience on the significance of the Divine Meal citing the relevant Scriptures. I’m telling you, testimonies are already rolling in even right there: a young man who came sick and told me that he’s down, considering going; I told him to wait that he won’t go with that illness. It was so. After the programme, he came to me with a joyful face telling me that he can’t feel any illness or weakness again; that he’s sound right now. Friend, this is just the beginning!
